EMBRACING IMPERFECTIONS

Updated: Jun 19, 2021

How often do we dream of perfection? How happy does it make us feel?

And how badly do we crave it?

But, at the end of the day, we have to bear the fact that nothing is perfect - we have to fall in love with the beauty of imperfection.

It is never going to be easy, it has never been.

And who said that it will be? Nobody likes scars, nobody likes wounds but what if it is the part of our body & soul and it is what we need to embrace our beautiful self?

Once you start accepting the flaws in yourself, it really doesn’t matter what the other person thinks of you. Because everybody in this world is imperfect, and that’s what makes them human. So acknowledging the truth may be hard but it is the best way to embrace who you really are and where you belong.

Getting out of your comfort zone takes strength. But it helps you to understand the little things in life, especially when there are outside voices screaming and demeaning the kind of person you are.

Some nights become difficult to survive. You cry, you crave to find yourself, you just want to run away at that moment from the recurring pain, you feel numb! It affects your mental health in inexplicable ways. And it’s quite easy to accept yourself when everything goes according to the plan. But what happens when one fails to implement the plan? You blame yourself because each one of us is lost in the idea of perfection.

Real-life isn’t going to be perfect. It will be full of ups and downs and giving up will seem like the easiest way to get over it. But when you start accepting the imperfections, that’s when you’ll learn to be at peace.

Therapy is the best way to find yourself. It helps you unwind the person you really are. It makes you question certain truths about yourself which you’re unwilling to accept and which is, thus, stopping you from being happy. Happiness comes from accepting and acknowledging the true version of yourself. It’s much better to seek answers from your inner self rather than waiting for the world to tell you who you are. Therapy helps one to discover ways to cope up with the harsh reality which we often deny to accept.

But when you finally learn about your actions and what triggers you and makes you question yourself, you’ll know how to react in that situation. So next time when you fall, you’ll know that it’s completely okay and it’s normal.

Take your time to heal and grow from the things that make you sad in the first place, we all need that to be a better version of ourselves.
