QUARANTINE AT ITS BEST

Let me just go ahead and say that I loved this quarantine.

I know many of you would feel it is weird to say so. But tough times reveal the real you and bring out the best version of you.

Yes, this phase of seven months has brought out the best in me!

Having completed engineering and having worked for a year, I convinced the people around me that I wanted to do my MBA as it had been my long-term goal. It was very difficult for me to do so since my gender was a stark barrier to advancing in the education space. The norm for girls to get married at a specific age burdened me. I struggled and managed to complete an MBA in HR and Finance, with a top percentile and a good job.

Everybody felt that I had made the right career choice. With high hopes, I wished to start working at the earliest. Then came the great disaster, the entry of the coronavirus. The initial days were gloomy, as my expectations were not fulfilled. There were many delays in regular events, and the employment rate went down. I was stuck, not knowing what to do. The days were challenging. Earlier I had a clear plan for my life; now it was interrupted. I was deeply saddened as negative thoughts started to fill my brain. I was not able to concentrate on anything, and even small matters began to disturb me.

After regularly complaining during the first few days, I shook myself out of my sadness. I accepted reality and started to move on. I began to focus on the good things that had happened in my life rather than the bad ones. This gave me strength. I realized that nothing had finished, and I could start again from scratch. I kicked off again by doing specialized courses in both positive psychology and personal finance. As the days passed, I began to realize that many people were in the same phase as I was earlier – they found it challenging to handle the mind and money during the pandemic. So, I started educating people on both aspects and began to provide online coaching. This is where I stand peacefully today. It started from my page, with the support of my loved ones.

Now I have found my passion, of unburdening people from their most important problems - the lack of mental wellness and steady income. I consider this to be the greatest start to my life, and I feel happy for what I have accomplished till now. Thus, I realized and now make people realize that tough times are the best times for a person to make a change in their life.
