Coping with Trauma

Trauma is an emotional response to adverse life events that may be experienced right after the event and may linger on for years to come. Your body and mind may remember the trauma even long after the event has passed.

Trauma may show up in different ways, right from experiencing intense emotional reactions to certain triggers, flashbacks, nightmares, to the inability to regulate feelings such as fear and anger and may even feel like your body feels frozen in certain situations. And while we say that, we want to gently remind you that your trauma can look and feel different from someone else's.
